Week 4 : Extra Credit Assignment

The Interaction Assignment. What did you do? What did you learn? Was it fun?

Based on Goffman's theory, I analyzed the interactions in elevators that are common in everyday life. I chose this interaction because I wanted to prove that I can find a sociological point of view even in this small daily life.
After reading Goffman's "The Presentation of Self In Everyday Life," I came to see the world from various perspectives. The society was a kind of "peformance" and that we were "actors" in the play, therefore, each day felt more special and precious. And it was very interesting that I could be not only an observer, but also an 'actor'.
In the future, I would like to apply this theory to other interactions to better understand society and analyze its complex relationships.
